Long time, no see.
Here I am, a short update from D'Piner himself. :o)
I've been back at uni now for 3 weeks and all is going fairly well...
The house is good, really nice and new but quite small. The housemates are ok to live with, although one is trying to kill us all by... living the gas on and then the next day turning the fridge OFF (to do this you have to move the microwave and press the switch.. quite some effort!!). Yesterday her door closed and just wouldnt open (just a regular internal door, not a lock or anything), and being half 6 on a saturday night we couldnt get through to the estate agents... so I took it into my own hands and got a hammer and broke the door down lol.. it is possily the most fun I've ever had, you can release so much anger!! I think it had to be done as if the internal latch was buggered there wasn't much else we could do.
Lectures are going ok. I have to think about my dissertation though arrrgh and I don't know what to do it on. I'm really enjoying political geography module which is very interesting and up to date.. some of the other modules though are not so interesting.
Football this year has been good and bad so far. In our pre season match we won 3-1 against a team in the league above. I started and played alright but during the match I tweaked my quads. I then trained 3 days later and made it worse, so missed the first league game. I went down to watch though and it was amazing. We went 2-1 up, and then 6-2 down with 15 minutes to go and drew 6-6. There was about 15 of us on the sidelines so we did a pitch invasion after our sixth goal :o) We had another match on wednesday and I started that, but came off injured because of my foot. Less said about the match the better, we were 2-1 up and lost 11-2. (Our highest scoring match last year was 4-0. And our top goalscorer this year already has more goals after 2 games than the top goalscorer of the whole of last season). So yeah my injury.. I jumped to block a ball and when I landed kinda landed on the outside part of my foot, I think it is just sprained but it's swollen and quite badly bruised, but I can walk on it and hope to play wednesday... will just see how it goes.
So yeah, that is the excitement I have been having. It's all a bit disjointed but it's hard to fit 3 weeks into a few paragraphs! I'm glad that those of you who have just started uni seem to be doing alright, and trust me.. it gets easier after xmas with mates and things! And I'm glad those of you who aren't at uni are also having fun!
That's all for now.. Going back up to college later to watch Man U v Liverpool, hope it's good! May have a little bet to liven it up for me (I'm currently £15 up on bets this year, woooo!)
